Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Operator Of Cellular Pet Salon In San Jose

Rachel Murphy has expressed concern about what happened to his 5-pound dog Toto last weekend. Rachel says that a hairdresser taped Toto r's jaw shut after the dog had been bitten. As a result, Toto r became bloody and upset.

Rachel recalled, "My dog clearly was in distress. What I first thought was tape turned out not to be a muzzle. Toto r's paws were visibly red and injured, with the toenails cut too close to the paw, which likely provoked his biting reaction."

Wow! My Dog is a mobile pet salon that employed the groomer who was responsible for these actions.

Rachel rushed Toto to a veterinarian immediately for medical treatment. He joined a number of others in accusing Wow! My Dog for animal abuse. San Mateo initiated an investigation for possible animal abuse.

Rachel described his observations, saying "I saw wounds in the genital, neck, read more and near the joints." The wounds were so severe they caused bleeding."

Marianna De las Vegas, customer of Wow! My Dog posted a Yelp review detailing the way his pets were returned unwell or injured. Another customer took a Snapchat of a dog appearing to be in pain. They claimed that a groomer inserted an ear napkin by force.
Bad Review

Wow! My Dog, in addition to the bad Yelp reviews and the fact that he was trusted to take care of their pets, wants his customers to know what the groomer said. Rachel said, "Juliann told me that tapering the mouth shut was a normal, acceptable method. He claimed it is better than using a muzzle which, according to him, can be harmful for dogs. He also mentioned that he personally uses this method on his own dogs."

Gate News contacted Wow! My Dog, who answered the phone and handed it to a woman claiming that they were investigating allegations. When asked about Wow! My Dog, the woman quickly stated that it is a separate entity. Then she abruptly ended her call.
